This presentation entitled 'Sustainable Rural Access and the Rural Access Indicator' was made by Robin Workman from the Research for Community Access Partnership (ReCAP) on November 25, 2019 at the specialized technical session on sustainable transport at SSATP's Annual General Meeting in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. It presents the updated methodology used to measure the Rural Access Index (RAI), which is defined as the proportion of the rural population who live within 2 km of an all-season road.
