This presentation entitled 'Truck Monitoring by GPS for Corridor Transport Observatories' was made at the SSATP Annual General Meeting in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. It presents the proof of concept for leveraging GPSs for truck monitoring in East and South Africa. The presentation posits that data is good, but that it needs to be interpreted to support advocacy. It ends with lessons and challenges to ensuring the financial sustainability of the truck monitoring system.
