The 2004 Annual Stakeholders Meeting of the Sub-Saharan Africa Transport Policy Program (SSATP) took place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from September 27-29, 2004. As a partnership program, the SSATP Annual Meeting has an important function of enabling nationals and stakeholders to assess progress and shape the future direction and action of the program. Specifically, the 2004 Stakeholders meeting reviewed the progress and results of the current annual SSATP work program and established the framework and priorities for 2005. The core purpose of the Annual Meeting was to agree on the priorities and framework for the 2005 Work Program. The main elements of the 2005 Work Program are : policy development; capacity building; partnerships and networking; knowledge sharing; and championship and advocacy.
