Environmental program

Description / objective

A socially responsible operator or transport authority will have an environmental program planned to mitigate harmful emissions or other damage resulting from vehicle operations and maintenance and from other transport-related activities.

Such a program will involve allocation of responsibilities between relevant parties, setting of current standards and future objectives, and monitoring of performance and implementation.
